One Day Industrial Visit to Dotsquares Technologies organized for Computer Science Engineering Students

On 3rd March 2020, RCERT organized a one-day industrial visit for the students of Computer Science Engineering Students along with B.Tech Ist Year students to Dotsquares Technologies India Pvt. Ltd. situated at Raja Park, Jawahar Nagar, Jaipur. Around 44 students along with 3 staff members took part in this visit. The visit was organized with the prior permission and guidance of Dr. Anshu Surana Sir (Vice-Chairman) and Dr. Pramod Sharma Sir (Principal, RCERT). The three faculty members who accompanied the students were HOD Mr. Mahumay Sen Sir, Assistant Professor Miss. Poornima Kasana Mam and Dr. Gourav Jain Sir (teaching faculty of Computer Department). The core objective of organizing this visit was to explain to the students about the latest technology in the field of IT and what are the different career opportunities in the IT sector. Moreover, it was also discussed how the students can enhance their technical skills on a wide variety of platforms.


After the company employees introduced themselves, some software developers interacted with the students and resolved the queries of the students. In a 30-minute seminar session, the employees of the company gave complete information about how the company originated, the foreign client base from countries like USA and Australia and the in-house development centers in Jaipur. Thereafter, the Project Manager displayed the live project that involved the use of the latest technology. Thus, the students were made to understand how to work with live projects. Moreover, in the technical session, the students were explained about the various new technologies that are emerging in the present scenario such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and ML. In addition to this, while explaining project management, the students were imparted essential knowledge about various phases under project management such as web development, design implementation, testing, and the sign-off phase. 


Around 1.30 P.M., the industrial visit ended and the students reached the college campus around 2.30 P.M. The students gave positive feedback and response for the trip that both the teachers as well as the employees of the company were highly supportive. Further, the visit helped the students to learn the most about the practical application of engineering education specifically in the field of IT and software development. All the students of the Computer Engineering Department are thankful to the honorable Vice Chairman Sir, Principal Sir, HOD Sir along with the faculty members of the Computer Science Department for organizing a successful visit.
