Regional College celebrated the 71st Republic Day at the Sitapura Campus

26 January is marked as the Republic Day of India and to commemorate this special day, the staff and the students of the Regional College for Education Research & Technology organized a program at the Sitapura Campus. Our Guest of Honor for the Republic Day celebration was Dr. Christopher Nwanoro (Minister-Counselor Political at Nigeria High Commission India). The program was attended by the faculty members, students and support staff of the Regional College family and everyone was filled with a feeling of patriotism and brotherhood as the program proceeded. We were also fortunate to have African diplomats Mr. Ezeugo Nnamdi (Diplomat of Nigeria, Africa), Miss Catherine Kabele, Mr. Mazi Odinaka Chukwu, and Mr. Okechukwu  and Miss. Sabdat Musa( Diplomat of Nigeria, Africa) who joined the event and graced the occasion.

The celebration began by extending a warm welcome to our respected Guest of Honor, African Diplomats and other respected guests by the college officials. Thereafter, the flag hoisting ceremony was done which was scheduled for 9.45 am at the College campus in the presence of our reverent Guest of Honour Dr. Christopher Nwanoro and other guests. The flag hoisting ceremony was followed by the National Anthem and the cultural performance by the college students on popular patriotic songs. The display of cultural performance by our students reflected that at our college we aim for the holistic development of the students and motivates them to not only excel in the education field but also other fields like sports and culture.

The cultural performance was followed by a special speech by our Guest of Honour Dr. Christopher Nwanoro in which he highlighted the importance of celebrating such occasions at the college and university level. He further appreciated our initiatives taken for improving the quality of technical education that helped in creating students that are ready to serve the diverse professions as per the specific industry standards. Moreover, our respectful African delegates Mr. Ezeugo Nnamdi and Miss. Sabdat Musa also shared their valuable views on freedom, Mahatma Gandhi and his valuable contribution to Africa on the special occasion of Republic Day.

On behalf of the Regional College family, we are highly grateful to our honorable guest Dr. Christopher Nwanoro, Mr. Ezeugo Nnamdi and Miss.
